Relax…it doesn’t get much better than this.
We spent many summers in Nova Scotia. I love the memories of those days. I adore my kids, and these family times are such happy memories for me. These were the best summers of my life. Summers when I was able not to work, before divorce, before grief. I am so grateful for those blessed days.
Ello. Hennigars. The Farmer’s Market. Fox Hill Farms. Our cherry orchard. Painting Nate’s Thomas trains. Bringing Delilah home. Reading books. Sewing. Silverado and Mary’s visit. Spending a summer with my Mum. The year we all got lice from the end of year Montessori sleepover. Bonfires. Sailing in Chester. Blackberry and raspberry bushes. Kee and Nick visits. Puzzles. Old Archie comics. The treehouse. Swings and a trampoline. Water balloons on the trampoline. Drive-in movies. The creepy dirt basement. Whiling away the afternoons on the porch overlooking the ocean. Blueberry grunt. Chowder.

The best big sister. Brilliant and always teaching her little brother.
Thank goodness my mum was there to help us with the lice. My son’s curls had to go. Sob
Ever the Thomas the Tank Engine fan, my son gets a number one while he naps. That’s what you get for falling asleep at the kitchen island!
Chicken nuggets with flax and oats with homemade honey-mustard sauce.
My musician.
Tea parties. Oatmeal, wafers, almonds and raisins. Yup, I was the healthy mum.
