The Purge

Covid has made our house feel very, very small. Organization is not an option, it’s essential. Many items have been removed. Does it bring us joy?

Your belongings do not bring us joy. They bring tears. You are not in a university residence, sharing an apartment with a friend or having the kind of adventures I hoped you’d be having at this age. You’ve already settled down, bought a house and made some very adult decisions. I don't need to continue to mother your belongings by keeping them safe while you grow up into a young woman. You have plenty of room for your things. You have a home. Your things are on their way to you. They no longer spark joy.
